Amazon just thanked me for the return of an $8 item I did buy and did not return (nor want to return). I confirmed they refunded the $8 to my credit card. Here’s how this call would go: I’ll spend an hour explaining it to them until they get it. Eventually they might re-charge the $8, then issue me a $5 credit for my troubles, which would be a fraction of the value of my time spent on their weird error. Modern commerce is weird.
