I’m fascinated by whoever puts in superb effort on audio descriptions in captions. “Wednesday” is phenomenal in this regard. 📺

Still from "Wednesday" with subtitle [unearthly, indistinct whispering]

I finished reading 📚 Firebreak by Nicole Kornher-Stace over the weekend. Very enjoyable. I went into it blind, and was initially turned off by the first part of the story taking place within a video game (I’m not a gamer). Glad I kept going.

Does anyone need an Apple Installer Scripting Guide from 1991? (The stuff I find in my basement…)

It’s time for Alice’s Restaurant.

That’s a lot of twos.

Brought my Series 6 Apple Watch in for some AppleCare TLC (battery). Turns out they don’t do exchanges on the Watch, so I temporarily bought an Ultra until mine is back. Temporarily. It’s awfully nice though. Temporarily…hmmm…

I’m thinking I might need new weatherstripping.

This weekend was a blur. I need another to recuperate.

I can’t decide if history will determine the final democratic American election was held in 2020, or 2024.

Watched Rear Window tonight. I’ve seen it, 30+ years ago, and didn’t remember a thing. So good. Only minor quibble was the camera moving out of the apartment at the very end. I’ve seen way too little Hitchcock. 🎥

I rarely drop reading a book midway. I might do that today, unexpectedly, with the graphic novelization of 1984. Much of the text is dark on dark. The act of reading is pulling me out of the story. Also very narration-heavy where images could have fit better, at least to me. đź“š

No.

I’ve never made a New Year’s Resolution, partially because it feels so all-or-nothing. I truly have so many things I’d like to do. I just had an idea to consider: A list of ten goals, with the resolution being to accomplish any five. Any combination of numbers works (3 of 9, 4 of 5…). I’ll ponder this a bit.

Happy 2022! My limited-social-network-attention brain seems to have semi-forgotten about micro.blog in 2021. I’ll try to fix that for the new year. What did I miss?
